Kia Canada Inc. (KCI) announces its best July ever with sales of 3,942 vehicles, a 15% increase over the same period last year. In addition, KCI reports its seventh straight month of growth, bringing its year-to-date vehicles sold to 22,603, up 12% over the same period last year.

Leading the sales growth for the month were Sedona (up 120%), Rio (up 40%), Rondo (up 35%) and Magentis (up 26%). Also, July marked the launch and arrival of the all new 2009 Borrego.

Kia’s Magentis has been updated and restyled for 2009 to bring its looks and character in line with the automakers goal of building exciting cars. Competing with the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Chevrolet Malibu, the Korean sedan .

An aggressive headlight and grille treatment give the Magentis a bit of a scowl, while the rear end is set off with a sharp-edge hood and a set of dual-outlet exhaust pipes. These are attached to either a 2.7 liter V6 engine with 190 horsepower, or a 2.4 liter inline four cylinder powerplant with 175 ponies.
